It’s going to be a little quiet in my kitchen for a while… last Wednesday we got the surprise of our lives as our little boy showed up nine weeks early!
Ellery Sage was born on 27 July at 9.06pm, weighing 1.9 kilos. He’s doing great and is perfectly well (and so cute!). We’ll spend the next couple of months growing him in hospital so we can bring him home. Mum and Dad doing well and getting over the shock. We are both completely smitten with our gorgeous little lamb!
See you soon.

All the best with everything, you’ll be a wonderful Mum!

Congratulations! so glad to hear that you are all doing well – what a gorgeous little thing he is!
so happy for you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh SO thrilled for both of you. And loving the name! Congratulations to you and K – no kid could do better than you two!
super ace! New life!
Beautiful moments will ensue. My two ‘babies’ are now 2 and 5. They don’t stay little for long enough. Although I don’t miss the pokey nappies and late nights much.
Much love heading your families way!!

Aw thanks, such lovely comments all round!!
We now have Ellery home from hospital and are loving it. And at the rate he is growing, he won’t stay little for long!
Aside from doting on bub, we are also busy preparing to up sticks, with our first little stint on Moreton Island impending – and a house to pack up shortly thereafter.
So hopefully soon, I will be back here – I have a divine eggplant recipe to share, courtesy of K’s Mum.
Til then.

Oh wow! It seems I may have missed this amazing news! Huge congratulations to you both. Hope you are doing well, lotsa love xxx
Sam,
My now-9 year old son came 10 weeks early, weighing 1.5 kilos. He is now the same size as his classmates, loving soccer and all sports, thriving at school. Feed him lots of good food!
Thanks Margot. Isn’t it amazing how these early setbacks can be overcome. Our bub is growing at such a rate he is now off the charts! And we have just begun to introduce him to food. Much excitement!
